Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. This is called seasoning the carbon steel griddle.

Is this your first time using the grill? Follow these steps to properly prepare your cooking grate. Before you can enjoy your grilled food, it’s essential to season your cooking grate to protect it from rust and improve its nonstick properties.

Carefully clean the cooking grate with hot, soapy water to remove any residual manufacturing oil.

If you notice any surface rust on the griddle, remove it using steel wool or a wire brush.

Preheat your griddle by building a fire in the center of the firebox. We recommend using dry kindling (Ø 1” x 12” LG).

Spread a thin layer of vegetable oil evenly over the entire surface of the griddle. Use a basting brush or a small cloth.

As the oil dries, repeat this process about ten times: a thin protective layer will gradually form, giving your griddle a browned and blackened appearance.

To ensure the long-term preservation of your griddle, we recommend repeating this seasoning process at least once per season.

It is delivered partially assembled. Several components are pre-assembled to simplify and speed up the final assembly. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Attach the base leg to the base using 3 M8 bolts. To make assembly easier, we recommend placing the base on the floor (use a blanket to prevent damage to the surface).
  2. Screw the 3 adjustable legs into the base. Make sure the legs extend beyond the base leg and that they are all the same length. Then tighten the nuts to secure the legs in place.
  3. Place the base assembly in an upright position and check that it is level using a spirit level. Make sure it rests on a stable, flat surface.
  4. Place a 20-mm spacer in the center, on top of the base.
  5. Place the tank and liner subassembly onto the base, making sure the spacer remains in place. The tank’s legs should fit into the rectangular openings on the top of the base.
  6. Screw an M8 bolt into the center of the tank.
  7. Place the cooktop on top of the tank, aligning the 3 supports. This step may require a second person to help with alignment.
  8. Place the grate in the center of the cooktop.
  9. Pre-assemble the wooden table.
  10. Place the wooden table on the cooktop, then tighten the latches.

Yes, the brasero can stay outside. We recommend using a protective cover to shield it from the rain. We also suggest removing the wooden table and storing it indoors after each use.

  1. Scrape the cooking surface while it’s still hot using a spatula to remove food residue.
  2. Lightly oil the surface after use to protect it.
  3. Remove the ashes from the firebox once the fire pit has cooled down.
  4. Protect from rain or use a suitable cover (optional).

Typically, manufacturing takes 2 to 4 weeks. Add to that a variable delivery time of approximately 1 week within the province of Quebec.

Manufacturing and delivery times may vary depending on several factors, including production workload, material availability, the time of year, and the shipment destination.

In general, manufacturing takes some time to ensure rigorous quality control, followed by packaging and preparation for shipment. Shipping times may then vary depending on the region.

For an accurate estimate tailored to your order and delivery address, please contact us.

The temperature of the cooking surface varies depending on the distance from the center of the surface. The hottest part is closest to the center. The temperature can reach up to 350 °C. The outer edge ranges from 150 °C to 250 °C. This temperature gradient can be reached after 20 to 30 minutes of heating.

Yes, we offer preferential rates for bulk orders. Discounts generally apply based on the desired quantity and product type.

About Aro Brasero

Origin of the Name

The word “Aro” means “ring, circle, or crown” in Spanish, a key inspiration for the fire pit’s circular design. This name also evokes warmth, sharing, aromas, and the culinary experience that perfectly define the product’s use. The term “brasero” also comes from Spanish, derived from “brasa,” which means “ember.” Together, “Aro Brasero” forms a name that reflects the essence of the concept.

Founder of Aro Brasero

Behind Aro Brasero is Arnaud Auger, an engineer with a passion for design, manufacturing, and the ways in which objects can enrich people’s experiences.

At age 22, driven by his curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit, he founded AA Performance, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of automotive performance products. This first venture allowed him to immerse himself in the development of technical parts, learn the rigors of manufacturing, and build solid expertise in design and engineering.

Over the years, Arnaud developed a unique set of skills: creating products that combine functionality, aesthetics, and durability. It was this combination that would give rise, a few years later, to a very different project… yet one that was consistent with his journey.

In 2026, after several prototypes and numerous experiments with fire, Arnaud envisioned a fire pit that would be more than just an outdoor object—it would be an experience. A product designed and manufactured in Quebec, built to last and to bring people together. Thus, Aro Brasero was born—the result of technical expertise, a passion for design, and a desire to create warm, welcoming moments.
